Internorm uPVC kf310 window

Hi guys, Luke here in the Bracknell showroom, and today we’re taking a closer look at the Austrian manufacturer Internorm Windows. Known for their engineering quality and energy performance, Internorm specialise in high-performance windows and doors designed to deliver excellent thermal insulation and sound performance for modern homes.

Internorm manufactures a wide range of window systems to suit different project requirements, budgets, and design preferences. Their collection includes aluminium on timber, aluminium on uPVC, and fully uPVC systems. These options work very well across different types of projects, whether you’re renovating an existing property or building a new home.

In addition to material choices, Internorm also offers several profile designs. These include the Design Style Home Pure, Home Soft, Studio, and Ambiente collections. The Studio range is ideal for contemporary architecture, while Ambiente suits more traditional properties. Home Pure and Home Soft sit comfortably in between, offering versatile styles that work well in both modern and classic settings.

Internorm windows can also be customised with accessories such as fly screens and Georgian bars, making them suitable for a wide range of contemporary and traditional homes. In our showroom, we have several examples on display, allowing customers to explore which profile best suits their project.

Today, we’re focusing specifically on the uPVC KF310 Window, one of Internorm’s most popular models.

Understanding the Internorm KF 310 uPVC Window

Internorm uses a naming system that reflects the window material and function. The letter K stands for Kunststoff (the German word for uPVC), and F stands for Fenster, meaning window. The number refers to the product series, making the KF 310 uPVC system Internorm’s entry-level uPVC window.

Despite being the entry model, the uPVC KF310 Window is still designed to perform at a very high standard, making it suitable even for premium residential projects.

One of the key design features is its 72 mm installation depth, which makes it particularly practical for replacement projects. Many older homes already have windows around 70–80 mm deep, so the KF 310 uPVC frame can often fit comfortably into existing openings without major structural changes.

The example displayed in our Bracknell showroom features the Home Soft profile, recognisable by its subtle rounded detailing. This version also includes 30 mm Georgian bars, adding character and making it suitable for more traditional properties.

Flexible Material and Colour Options

The KF 310 uPVC window is available in two main configurations: fully uPVC, or uPVC aluminium windows with an aluminium exterior cladding. Most homeowners choose the uPVC-aluminium combination because it offers a much wider range of exterior colours while maintaining the thermal benefits of uPVC internally.

If you opt for the fully uPVC option, the colour is typically white on both sides. However, Internorm has introduced improved internal finishes, allowing for a variety of interior colour choices, including white matt, white grain, cream grain, wood-effect finishes, and anthracite grey for more contemporary designs.

Tilt and Turn Functionality

Internorm windows are designed exclusively with a tilt-and-turn opening system. Rather than opening outward, the window turns inward for full access or tilts inward at the top to provide controlled ventilation.

For everyday use, most homeowners use the tilt position, which allows fresh air into the home while maintaining security. The full-turn opening is especially useful for cleaning the exterior glass pane from inside the house.

The display unit in our showroom also demonstrates a French window configuration. This is particularly useful where you want to maximise the opening width or where space restrictions limit larger window designs.

Advanced Glazing and Performance

Internorm windows are well known for their glazing technology. The KF310 uPVC window can be supplied with triple-glazed units, improving both thermal insulation and sound reduction within the home.

Internorm also uses advanced TEC glazing, which securely bonds the glass pane to the sash. This improves stability, durability, and long-term performance while helping to maintain strong insulation and sound-reduction properties.

Overall, the uPVC KF310 Window offers a reliable combination of energy efficiency, design flexibility, and durable engineering—making it a strong option for both renovation and new-build projects using Internorm windows.
