Our client in Maidenhead wanted to make the most of the large 6 meter wide opening they had in their living room.
They chose the Solarlux SL 160 Lift and Slide Aluminium Door in Traffic White (RAL 9016) because the available size of the glazed panels meant they would only require two doors with very little vertical frame.
The lift & slide mechanism allows for smooth movement when the doors are opened and closed, despite the size and weight of the panels. They also drop down in to the track for a more positive seal when closed. This helps with the thermal performance of the doors, achieving an impressive overall u-value of just 1.1 w/m²k.
The Solarlux SL 160 Lift and Slide Aluminium Doors can be locked in to any position along the track which protects the system from being tampered with and is a great safety feature when children are around.
1 glazed panel can reach a maximum height of up to 3,400 mm and a maximum panel width of 3,200 mm.
The new doors have created a wonderful, light and bright room with fantastic views of the garden.
