White UPVC Casement Windows, Halo System 10, Wokingham

Location: Wokingham

This Wokingham property is now more energy-efficient thanks to the white uPVC casement windows we recently installed.

The semi-detached family home is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in a sought-after area in Wokingham.

The existing double glazed uPVC windows were 25 years old and offered minimal thermal benefit, and were in desperate need of replacing.

Noticing one of Thames Valley Windows vans in the Wokingham area, the homeowners got in touch for a free no-obligation quote for replacing 11 windows, including a bay window.

Our designer Joe contacted the homeowners and arranged a home visit. Joe took some sample frame sections with him to demonstrate to the homeowner’s the different options.

After talking through their home improvement project, they arranged an appointment at our Bracknell showroom to help with the decision-making.

At the appointment, they had the opportunity to view a range of full-size uPVC window styles on display, with the opportunity to open and close the windows and feel the quality.

The Wokingham homeowners also decided to replace their existing front door, a set of French doors at the back of the house, for An Line sliding patio door.

They chose System 10 Royale Range from Halo for the replacement windows, all finished in smooth white for both the interior and exterior and decided on a welded joint look.

System 10 uPVC casement windows are a practical and versatile choice that remains popular with homeowners in Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.

They are available in an array of window styles suitable for period, town or country properties.

Casement windows can open in various configurations from left, or right to top openers, or dummy sash (fixed window)

A side hung casement window is the preferred design, whilst top hung is the desired choice for fanlights, and bottom hung are inward opening so are suitable for lower floors and basements.

The slim, even sightlines are beautiful in proportion, symmetry and add a touch of elegance and style to both modern and traditional properties.

The system 10 chamfered windows are designed with three chambers and are thermally efficient with an ‘A’ energy rating and offer a U Value of 1.3. They are available in double and triple glazing.

All Halo double glazed windows offer high levels of security and are independently tested by BSI for key security elements and achieves BS7950.

Through advancements in glass technology and innovative design, Casement windows had evolved dramatically from when they were first established in the 18th century to replace stone mullioned windows.

The original casement window frames were made from iron. Over the years, these were replaced with timber casement windows. Nowadays, casement windows can be manufactured in a range of modern materials.

Casement windows are a favoured window style for homeowners, architects and builders as they are suitable for listed buildings in conservation areas and modern properties.

We offer the option of flush casement windows, for a modern and sleek design. Also, Georgian bars can be added to your Casement windows to add character to your home.

The homeowners are delighted with their new highly energy-efficient white uPVC casement windows. The windows are simple and stylish in their design. They have been fitted with easy escape egress hinges that open a full 90 degrees fulfilling new part B regulations, ensuring a quick escape route in the event of a fire that conforms to FENSA requirements and British Building Standards.

The white coloured handles on the interior complement the windows and the interior décor.

Our clients are thrilled with their new white uPVC casement windows and left Thames Valley Windows this excellent Trustpilot review:

Expectations Exceeded – Everything was of the highest standard, from the clear quotation, through the e-mail communication of updates, to the efficient installation with minimum disruption. I couldn’t be more pleased.
