Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to run an established department of three.

This role is pivotal to the business, coordinating the process of each customer product order from post-survey to manufacture sign off. The department is also responsible for scheduling the initial installation dates prior to handover to the Installations Department.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • 3-5 years in a purchasing role
  • 3-5 years window industry experience, ideally with uPVC, aluminium & timber products
  • Previous experience of running a department and managing a team
  • Systems and process driven
  • Good organisational skills
  • An acute eye for detail
  • Experience of running an active work schedule for multiple teams
  • Our purchasing department liaises with an established supplier base with existing relationships, there is no immediate responsibility to establish any additional relationships although an element of commercial negotiation experience would be useful

Earning Potential: In the region of £35,000 – £40,000. Dependent on the candidate and experience.

We are a successful family business with a turnover of c.£7 million which we are looking to grow to £10million in the next three years.
