Location: Blewbury, Oxfordshire
This 1980s property in Oxfordshire was undergoing a major renovation. Our client was keen to replace the existing windows and doors which were letting the house down. The dark brown window frames against the original brickwork did nothing to enhance the look of the property. The renovation was completed in two stages over a 12 month period.
Thames Valley Windows produced 3D drawings to help the owners visualise the various window frame colour options available, including grey and black.
Our client chose Internorm’s triple glazed, ali clad tilt & turn HF200 windows from the Home Pure range. These have now been modified to the current HF310 timber/thermal foam/aluminium window.
The HS330 was also chosen. Despite the size and weight of the glass panels, the doors glide effortlessly along the low threshold track.
The windows and doors perfectly combine. They have a spruce finish on the inside and RAL 9005 in matt jet black on the outside – and they look absolutely beautiful. They also have superb thermal performance making them suitable for low energy and energy-saving houses with an ultra-low u-value of less than 0.7 W/m²K.
The original front door was also replaced. The brickwork was removed to create a wider, more central opening and we installed an HT400 contemporary aluminium/timber front door with side panels.
The before and after photos in our gallery above show how the addition of the new windows and doors have made a dramatic addition to this home.
I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Thames Valley Windows and everyone involved. From start to finish our experience has been thoroughly professional. The Internorm windows and doors look fantastic and have absolutely transformed the property.
The work carried out by your installers (Wayne and Guy) was superb and their attention to detail second to none. I would not hesitate in recommending Thames Valley Windows to others.
