Solarlux Cero Minimal Frame Sliding Doors, Surrey

Location: Surrey

Thames Valley Windows worked with the architect and contractor on this project in Surrey which involved the construction of a bespoke, purpose-built building to house an indoor swimming pool. Originally, the idea was to have a fully moveable corner however this would not have worked and so we came up with a workable solution to combine Solarlux Cero sliding doors with a separate set of 2-panel bi-folding doors.

We installed the new minimal frame Cero sliding doors from Solarlux. The aluminium profile of these doors is just 34mm giving a 98% glazed area. They are finished in Jet Black (RAL 9005) in a marine grade paint, suitable for the swimming pool location.

As you can see from the photos in our gallery above, specialist equipment was required on site to lift the large glass elements in to place. Each panel is 3900mm wide by 2150mm high and weigh approximately 320kg each! The Solarlux Cero sliding door can reach a maximum area of 15 square meters per sliding panel and up to a maximum weight of 1000kg.

The end result is very impressive!

We have a fully operational Solarlux Cero III sliding door in our showroom in Bracknell. If you’d like to find out more and see the doors for yourself, please pop in or make an appointment here.
