Location: Guildford, Surrey
This family home in Guildford had a very dated conservatory-style structure at the rear of their property (see the ‘before’ photos in our gallery above). Aesthetically, it did very little for the house and offered virtually no thermal protection.
Our client originally wanted to replace this with an aluminium conservatory; they didn’t want uPVC. After a visit to our showroom, our Designer introduced them to Evolution, a timber-alternative solution. Our client couldn’t believe how closely it resembled timber. They didn’t think timber was an option before and chose a timber-alternative Orangery in Guildford for their home.
The windows are storm casements with ovolo bead detail and benefit from a multi-point locking system. The Orangery was finished with hardwood corner posts and traditional fascia and cornice.
An aluminium roof lantern, underfloor heating and modern, cosy furniture and accessories, have brought this house in to the 21st century. A delightful space to spend time, all year round.
