Location: West End
This family home in West End dates back 300 years! The new owners wanted to ensure that the character of the original cottage was not lost but they wanted to modernise it and make sure that any new additions complimented the original property.
Damp and woodworm were treated in order to preserve the property, and new electrics, heating and plumbing installed.
Our client chose Halo Flush double glazed uPVC windows finished in Agate Grey (RAL 7038) on the exterior and white grain on the inside. This style of window and the colour of the frames perfectly suit the age and character of the property. The owners did not want to spend time maintaining wooden windows and so chose ‘the next best thing’.
In contrast, modern bi-fold doors from Solarlux were installed in the kitchen area which lead on to the garden. These were finished in Grey Aluminium (RAL 9007) inside and out.
We also installed an Apeer composite front door in Agate Grey.
There are plans to have a new patio area added which will sit flush with the bi-fold doors and the garden landscaped, creating that feeling of connecting the inside to the outside.
A fantastic project!
