Black and White uPVC Casement Windows with Stained Glass Fanlights, Maidenhead

Black and White uPVC Casement Windows with Stained Glass Fanlights, Maidenhead in Berkshire

This beautiful white rendered detached property in Maidenhead has recently been transformed with black and white upvc windows with stained glass fanlights to improve its energy efficiency and enhance its aesthetic appeal.

This family home is nestled in a sought-after residential road in Maidenhead.

Having been valued customers of Thames Valley Windows since 1990, the homeowners of this white rendered property in Maidenhead entrusted us to replace their existing double-glazed windows, which had become energy inefficient.

When the owners of this detached property approached us for a complete window and sliding door replacement, they had a clear vision. They wanted like-for-like windows and stained glass fanlights, ensuring the character of their detached property remained intact.

Our designer, Chris, contacted the Maidenhead homeowners and arranged a site visit to assess their existing windows, allowing him to examine the stained glass detail and ensure that we would be manufacturing like-for-like replacements.

Chris was able to recommend to them a bespoke glazing solution from our System 10 Royale Range, which exactly matched their requirements and replicated the existing style.

Once the Maidenhead homeowners had decided to proceed, Chris invited them to our Bracknell showroom. Here, they had the opportunity to view the System 10 Royale Range on display, discuss the finer details with Chris, and select the window furniture, ensuring their complete satisfaction with their replacement windows and sliding door project.

The traditional lead and Art Nouveau stained glass units for the fanlights were handmade by skilled craftsmen in London.

Upon the homeowner’s decision to proceed, one of our company surveyors promptly contacted them. This was to arrange a visit to complete an on-site survey, ensuring that every aspect of the project was meticulously planned and completed to the highest attention to detail.

System 10 uPVC Rustique Royale Range windows are available in double and triple glazing. They are a versatile and cost-effective choice that remains popular with Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire homeowners.

The slim, even sightlines are elegant in proportion and symmetry and add a touch of sophistication and style to both modern and traditional properties.

They are independently tested by BSI for key security elements and achieve BS7950 to provide high levels of security and

The final result is stunning and perfectly complements the white rendered detached property. The white uPVC windows with stained glass fanlights, with black sub-frames, offer a traditional aesthetic that is both durable and aesthetically pleasing and match the details of the original windows exactly.

The homeowners are delighted with their new double-glazed windows and advised of the following:

We chose Thames Valley Windows to carry out the work because it involved replacing windows originally installed by yourselves in 1989.  The fact that those windows had lasted 35 years highlighted the quality of your windows. The seals of the glazing units were failing, and the locks and hinges would soon become obsolete, making replacement the sensible choice.

Whilst TVW may not be the cheapest, we considered that the quality of the materials and workmanship was worth the extra expense.

The only issues we had all involved the new patio door.  An example of the company’s quality was demonstrated by the fact that when Jamie was fitting it, he noticed the wrong cill had been supplied – I am sure that many other companies’ installers would have kept quiet about it.  He immediately ordered the correct type, which, although it delayed the installation slightly, earned considerable kudos for the company in our view.  There was also an initial design issue regarding the new architrave to the patio door.  This was resolved, without question, and Adam did a good job of finishing this element, giving us what we had been expecting.  More kudos earned!

Regardless of the minor hiccups, we are very pleased with the installation overall and the standards of the installers.  We want to extend our thanks to all involved in the works as a whole.

The before-and-after images in the above gallery showcase the like-for-like windows.

We also installed a twin-track aluminium EdgeGLIDE Sliding door finished in traffic white RAL9016 into the living room.
