Heritage Aluminium Windows, Hampshire

Location: Hampshire

These black, ultra-slim, strikingly good-looking heritage aluminium windows were installed in this 16th century barn conversion in Hampshire. Although previously a pub in the 1980s, this listed building had its challenges throughout the conversion, however, these were overcome to create this stunning home. We also installed Solarlux Cero Sliding Doors at this property and a Pirnar Front Door.

Whether you are looking for this elegant yet contemporary feel to suit a modern looking house, or an old listed building in a conservation area, these beautifully designed Heritage Aluminium Windows are perfect and are starting to get noticed again as the trend for narrow frames and more light continues.

The owners of this home were replacing internal solid walls of the old building with crittal-style walls to create a feeling of space and increase natural light, all the while maintaining a sense of space and zone definition. Outside, these heritage aluminium windows are used to maximise the natural light cascading through and to create a very industrial look and feel to an already understated barn conversion.

Our Heritage aluminium windows and doors have been carefully designed to closely replicate the proportions and detail of an original crittal frame. With a minimal 58mm outer frame and casement measurement, they have the slimmest proportions on the market. These can be installed as a complete frame directly to the brickwork or set in to new or existing timber sub-frames or stone mullions.

The slim, industrial-esque look windows contrast beautifully with the traditional aesthetics of the building – both inside and out. They are finished in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), with satin silver window handles.

As homeowners, we continue to seek out simplicity, efficiency and beauty throughout our homes. It’s no secret that we are veering more toward the modern and contemporary in our style choices. Beyond looks, we expect high performance in the form of efficiency, functionality and durability.
