Breathing new life into a traditionally styled red brick 1950s property was the ambitious goal for a couple from Andover when they contacted Thames Valley Windows.
With the help of our team, the client embarked on their project to create a stylish and contemporary home which would incorporate plenty of open plan living space and natural daylight, whilst also delivering the highest levels of thermal performance.
Our specification included Ultra Low U-Value contemporary composite windows, finished in DM02 designer metallic grey to create a striking contrast with the bright new render of the building. With their sleek aluminium exterior and timber internal frames, the Internorm HF310 Home Pure Windows set the tone of the new scheme. The extension was completed with narrow profile Solarlux aluminium bi-folding doors, which were finished in a complementary DB703 finish. As there was to be a slight step down from the house to the patio level, the customer also opted for a fully weathered rebated threshold with a contemporary aluminium pressed sill to finish the patio.
The couple are delighted with the end result: “We are very happy with our new windows. They look fantastic and we have even had to turn the thermostat down a couple of degrees! This bodes well for reducing our long term heating costs and justifying our investment. We really appreciate the professional service that Thames Valley Windows has provided.”
We are very happy with the windows, thank you. They look fantastic and we have had to turn the thermostat down a couple of degrees! It bodes well for reducing long term heating costs and justifying the investment. The scheduling issues were just one of those things, I suppose and now it is done, the chaos of all the trades here at once is almost forgotten.
Thank you, and particularly Ryan, for all the help, advice and patience you gave us. It has been a pleasure working with you both and we really appreciate the professional service TV Windows provided.
