We replaced the original single glazed windows in this charming home in Sonning with new double glazed uPVC Sliding Sash Windows. These beautifully designed features are easy to maintain and will add character to any home, improving aesthetics and thermal efficiency.
The owner of this cottage like property asked for some advice on how she could maintain the traditional character of her home and reduce her expensive energy bills that were increasing year on year. The original bow windows on the ground floor were deteriorating after being installed over 30 years ago when they were in vogue.
We invited her to attend our Showroom where she could appreciate visually, the extensive range we have to offer. Taking the time to understand our client’s brief and fundamentally what was important for her, our Design Director produced a selection of architectural design options, and showcased them as 3D illustrations of her home, so she could really appreciate visually how her home would look with newly installed windows.
Out of two traditional looking designs and one less traditional solution, our client chose an option that exuded charm and elegance, and the attention to detail from the handles and locks really made the difference in complementing her home. These uPVC Sliding Sash Windows in Sonning, also complementing the existing rear extension replaced previously, will look stunning in years to come as they do today.
The owner is absolutely delighted, commenting: “thank you very much for helping me make one of the best decisions of my life – my new uPVC Sliding Sash Windows in Sonning. The time and attention you dedicated to helping me choose the best options (especially for our lounge and dining room windows) has really paid dividends and my beautiful house is now even better. I love the fact that we have successfully achieved a clean, modern look without detracting from the cottage style of our house”.
She added: “The stone sills look absolutely wonderful. A final word must go to Jamie and Sid who are the dream installation team. They arrived on time every day and immediately rolled up their sleeves and set to work. They just didn’t stop and Jamie in particular showed his knowledge and skills as a master craftsman. He Is completely focused on achieving 120% and is clearly proud of his work, Sid quietly worked alongside Jamie and always carried out a brilliant clean up at the end of each day. As you’ve probably guessed from this – I am VERY HAPPY”!
