Anthracite grey flush casement windows from the Evolution Storm 2 collection have transformed this beautiful detached property in Windsor.

The family home is set on an exclusive cul-de-sac on a highly desirable residential road in Windsor, close to Windsor Castle and Windsor Great Park.

When the Windsor homeowners contacted Thames Valley Windows for replacement windows, they had recently purchased the property. They were renovating the entire house, and as part of the home renovation project, they planned to replace all the brown wood leaded windows and doors with grey windows in their family home. Therefore, they were keen to book an appointment at our Bracknell showroom.

Part of the homeowners’ brief was a bespoke glazing solution that would significantly enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the detached property.

Our designer, Ray, contacted the Windsor homeowners to gather their requirements and fully understand their needs, desires, and expectations, and to discuss the window and door options for their home renovation project.

After viewing the timber alternative and aluminium windows, the homeowners were drawn to the authentic timber look and joint detailing, as well as the traditional aesthetic of the Evolution Storm 2 timber alternative windows.

The homeowners selected high-performance Evolution Storm 2 timber-alternative uPVC flush casement windows to replace their deteriorated wooden windows.

They opted for a dual-colour finish, choosing anthracite grey on the outside and white on the inside.

They chose a traditional graphite teardrop handle, inspired by 19th-century ironmongery, for the window furniture, offering a sophisticated finish and a touch of elegance to the interior’s white wood-effect uPVC windows. The multipoint locking system, featuring shoot bolts, provides increased security.

All the double-glazed units feature thermally efficient black spacer bars and are filled with argon gas, achieving a u-value of 1.4 W/m²K

The end result is stunning. The flush-fitting anthracite grey casement windows have modernised the detached property, offering the homeowners the benefits of security, durability, and minimal maintenance.

We designed, surveyed, and installed twenty-three double-glazed anthracite grey flush casement windows in various sizes to suit the property’s scale and proportions, as well as two sets of French doors with sidelights.

The back elevation features the French doors. A complex hole had to be cut into the glass on the left-hand side panel for a new cat flap by our installers.
