Anthracite Grey Windows, Halo Flush uPVC, Cookham Dean

Location: Cookham

We recently installed anthracite grey windows for this large-scale new build property in the picturesque Cookham Dean, a small village in Berkshire.

Located to the west of the beautiful historic village of Cookham, which has a history going back hundreds of years and has many large detached 17th and 18th homes. Popular with tourists as it’s beside the River Thames and was home to the famous British painter Sir Stanley Spencer who referred to Cookham as “a village in Heaven”.

Following a visit with their architect to our extensive double-glazing Bracknell showroom, our clients were particularly impressed with the array of colours and finishes that our Halo collection of uPVC casement windows had to offer them.

Our clients originally wanted aluminium flush casement windows for their sleek and understated aesthetic. But after a few tweaks to their layout with their Thames Valley Designer – Ryan Schofield they decided that the uPVC flush casement windows from Halo had the right aesthetic for a contemporary look and was the best option for the overall budget of the project.

The Cookham Dean homeowners opted for dual colour frames with anthracite grey colour for the exterior and white for the interior to suit the property’s distinct style and to match the interior décor.

These uPVC window frames with a welded joint blend the appearance and elegance of modern aluminium windows with the benefits of high-quality uPVC. Thermally efficient, secure and virtually maintenance-free, these double-glazed windows can be relied on for many years to come.

Due to the size of the new build property, the anthracite grey windows and doors totalled over 30 units which perfectly complemented the cream colour render and dark slate roof.

Soon after all products were chosen, Ryan emailed the clients a competitive quote that reflected the unrivalled customer service and high-quality glazing solution that Thames Valley Windows provides. Then, the contracts were quickly signed

The homeowners later told us, they were swayed by our architectural design service using our expertise we created full-colour 3D visuals of the proposed window and door designs which allowed them to visualise the finished design.

We set to work supporting the homeowners, contractors and builders to build their dream home. Thames Valley Windows were on hand every step of the way to answer as many questions as possible, to ensure the installation of the windows and doors went smoothly and to time.

Our clients hired the main contractors, Ps Contract Management Ltd, a local property development company based in Maidenhead.

Part of the brief was that our clients wanted an impressive entrance lobby with a stairwell window for that “wow factor” that would allow lots of light into the centre of the house and gives a contemporary aesthetic to the front of the house.

Neutral yet versatile, Anthracite is probably the most luxurious of the grey shades. Also, pair well with black and white colour schemes and complement both classic and contemporary properties

Ral 7016 Anthracite grey is timeless and has long been a trend colour for both interior designers and architects; it can be combined excellently with many colours and materials.

The Cookham Dean homeowners knew they wanted to make the most of the countryside view from the front of the property, so we recommended French doors with a Juliette balcony in the master bedroom to enjoy the view on summer evenings.

The result is a breathtaking family home full of beautifully spaced anthracite grey windows and impressive extra features such as bifold doors and modern style decking. Giving the house a distinct elegance.

The finished windows and doors are the epitome of style. Long straight lines with elegant minimum sightlines, stark contrasting colours, with as much natural light as possible from the vast sections of glass and a luxuriously spacious interior.

This Cookham dean new build has masses of glass which will capture the full benefits of the sun during the summer months while enjoying thermal benefits long into the winter.

As part of this new build project, we also installed Aluminium bi-fold doors and an Internorm Front Door to the Cookham Dean property.
