Over the years, the owners of the stunning detached property have completed a scheme of modernisations to transform this building into the perfect family home.

The family home is situated within a sought-after residential street on the outskirts of the historic Windsor town centre and Windsor Castle.

It had been five years since our clients purchased aluminium doors and windows from us! As a small independent family business, customer satisfaction is important to us, so we were delighted that the Windsor homeowners chose to return to us for an internal glazing solution.

As part of the redesign of the interior layout, our clients were looking to divide the open-plan living space area without compromising on natural light or space.

When the owners contacted Thames Valley Windows in September 2020, they had a clear vision of the internal doors and glass partitions they wanted. Part of their brief was for a modern architectural glazing solution with sound insulation.

Their home renovation project was driven by the current hybrid working and living situation, making them rethink the open-plan living arrangements. They were looking to divide their open plan study and the second workspace with a glass room divider and replace the existing wooden frame glass partitions with the same glazing style.

Their aluminium frame windows had been designed in art deco Industrialstyle; they were keen for a similar look for internal glazing.

Our designer Marcus contacted the homeowners after listening to their ideas for their home improvement project. In February, our installation team arrived at the Windsor property to remove the existing fixed doors and screens and installed the Industrial style internal doors and room dividers promptly and professionally.

Marcus worked with the homeowners to bring their vision to life and designed an internal glazing solution to enhance their contemporary interior decor.

The Industrial style internal doors and partitions have been finished in the ever-popular powder-coated RAL9005 Matt Black, emphasising the’ steel’ look and offering a high-quality finish.

The single doors have been designed with butt hinges for an authentic heritage feel.

Single glazed clear 4mm toughened acoustic glass panels were selected to achieve the soundproof performance required.

The overall result is an attractive and stylish solution to define separate zones with privacy within the Windsor family home while complimenting the overall colour scheme and furniture.
