uPVC Bay Windows, Bracknell

Location: Bracknell

We recently installed uPVC bay windows and a new Apeer composite front door into a semi-detached family home located in an extremely popular, established residential street in Bracknell close to the town centre.

Our clients approached us for a double-glazing quote as they had decided it was time for a complete makeover to the front of their Bracknell house. They wanted to replace their existing bow and bay windows and front door with a more energy-efficient uPVC double glazing solution.

The Bracknell property already had double glazed PVC windows which were old and installed when the property was built 30 years ago. These windows had started to become draughty and also had problems with condensation during the winter months, making replacement windows the obvious choice for our clients.

One of our designers went to visit the clients at their Bracknell property and took some sample frame sections to show the different options. After talking through their vision and requirements, they decided to help the decision-making process they would make an appointment to visit our windows and doors showroom in Bracknell. So that they could view a range of full -size uPVC window styles, feel the quality and to open and close them so that they could really envisage them at home.

Our clients were keen to minimise the sightlines on the windows, and living on a busy road noise reduction was paramount. After viewing the range of double glazed uPVC windows, they decided on the Rustique Royale uPVC casement windows, with slim outer frame and even sightlines from Halo, finished in smooth white on the outside and inside.

Although they wanted new, high-quality uPVC windows, that would transform the front of their property; they did not rush into making a decision. They received a quote from us in September 2018, and soon after they decided to put the double glazing project on hold as they were also updating the inside of the house so needed to prioritise which order the home improvement projects would proceed.

In the middle of May 2019, our clients contacted the designer to advise they had obtained alternative quotes for uPVC windows that were also comparable in price. After researching each of the window companies for the customer care and fitting service experience they offered, they decided to choose Thames Valley Windows.

They also found the 10-year guarantee and a dedicated service department very reassuring. They felt confident that if a manufacturer offered an extended guarantee period, then the products would be designed to the highest quality.

Shortly after our client confirmed their order, a trained surveyor visited our clients Bracknell property to take measurements and finalise the finer details. Soon after the orders were placed with the manufacturers the date for the installation, was confirmed with our clients.

The window and door installation took four days to complete, and our fitters ensured that they respected the client’s house and cleaned up every day.

The Bracknell property now benefits from three new white uPVC bay windows in various sizes a combination frame of an Apeer composite door and four white fixed window frames. The slimline window frames allow more natural light to permit through the glass and naturally warm the house.

All the white casement windows have chrome handles and high-security multi-point locking systems.

The Apeer 70 composite front door is finished in a stunning steel blue on the outside and white inside, it features two decorative art deco leaded glazed sections with obscure minister backing glass in the upper half of the door. The entrance door opens into a wide hall filled with neutral colours.

Downstairs in the living room, the new uPVC windows have made all the difference to the double glazed bow window making the window seat the perfect place to sit and enjoy panoramic views of the front garden. The larger glass windows and slim frames allow more sunlight into the room to further the illusion of space throughout.

The two three-sided bay windows upstairs have become a focal point in each bedroom.

Our client is delighted with their uPVC windows, and their Bracknell home is now warmer and quieter than before!

Most of our uPVC Bay windows are from of the Halo collection that comes with an energy rating of A as standard and available in a wide selection of window frame shapes and a wide variety of exterior RAL colour finish options with the very latest security features. This means that your property will benefit from home security as well as soundproofing and weatherproofing qualities.
