Cream Wood Effect Windows – Evolution Storm 2, Elstead, Surrey

Location: Elstead, Surrey

Surrey’s beautiful detached property has been transformed with these exquisite cream wood effect windows from Evolution Storm 2 collection.

The property is tucked away in a quiet residential road in Surrey’s most sought-after villages, Elstead, situated between Godalming and Farnham, surrounded by beautiful open countryside.

The Surrey homeowners contacted Thames Valley Windows to replace all the dark wood leaded windows and doors within their family home. One of our designers contacted them to discuss their requirements and arrange a visit to our Bracknell showroom to view the range of wood effect windows we showcase.

As the Surrey property is situated between two conservation areas within Elstead village, the replacement windows needed to be sympathetic to the house’s architectural features and in keeping with the surrounding area.

Attention to detail was paramount. Part of the homeowner’s brief was for energy-efficient double-glazed windows and doors that offered long-term performance and low maintenance and replicated traditional timber windows.

The Surrey property owners decided that the high-quality Evolution Storm 2 flush casement windows were a perfect choice for aesthetic, acoustic, and thermal performance. They commented:

Our decision was based upon a company providing a modern, long-lasting in-frame window that would look the same as our old hand made in-frame wooden windows. We were also keen to get a product that would not require ongoing maintenance. The Evolution product met this requirement. Whilst we were happy to pay for a superior quality product, we felt the price offered by TVW was reasonable for the look and quality of the product we purchased. We were going to make a significant investment, replacing 24 various size windows, 2 x French doors, a Front Door and a Back Door. We had to get it right.

The Surrey homeowners opted for the dual colour finish with a cream wood grain finish on the exterior window frame and white on the interior with a single 36mm Georgian cottage bar. They chose a contemporary Ventiss 360 chrome handle for the window furniture over the traditional monkey tail as it offers an elegant and minimalist finish to the wood effect windows.

This Surrey home’s transformation is stunning; the heritage shade of cream finish aesthetically enhances the red brickwork and emphasises the house’s original character. The Georgian glazing bar adds a distinctive traditional architectural feature.

The homeowners are delighted with their cream wood effect windows and advised:
We were delighted with the results. The product is fantastic and has changed the look of the house dramatically. The old dark frames have been replaced with bright cream frames, and the glass from dull leaded light to clear bright double glazed units. Externally the house is now changed from an ‘old fashioned’ property to a modern, up-to-date property. Internally, the new windows and doors have made the rooms much brighter, with more light flooding into the rooms.

All the draughts have gone, and no more banging of doors from just a small draft. And the house is holding the heat much more effectively. The windows and doors’ security is much improved, which was not one of our initial requirements, so this was an added bonus.

The installation of all the timber effect windows and doors went extremely well. The installers were polite and helpful and worked very hard to meet our exacting requirements. You would not expect to undertake such a project and have no issues. However, all issues were dealt with fast and efficiently, so nothing held up the installation. We were extremely impressed.

I would always recommend Thames Valley Windows to anyone who needed new windows or doors as you cannot fault the product, company or the people.
